Alice is the M1A1 Abrams main battle tank attached to Gunnery Sergeant An Nguyen’s Marine element. She remains operational after the Christmas Eve power failure at Fort Knox and becomes one of the first two books’ most recognizable continuing entities. In a country where normal mobility and command systems are collapsing, Alice is simultaneously transport, protection, firepower, psychological reassurance, and a very large problem for anyone blocking the Marines’ route east.

PREWAR FILE // Alice begins as military equipment inside a pre-deployment environment. The EMP/grid-collapse scenario changes her narrative status.
